German Shepherd Dog Dog

Chief the Dog needs a home

Chief is the latest casualty of out of control fireworks. He was found wandering a local neighborhood on 4th of July weekend. He had no collar, no tags, no microchip, nothing to provide a clue as to where he came from. Efforts were made to try and find his home but no one came to claim him.

Poor Chief, he may look like a confident GSD, but he let us know in no uncertain terms – he does not like fireworks! A kind animal lover took him in while she looked for his family. Chief got along well with the small dog in the home and ignored the pitbull next door that barked incessantly at him whenever he walked by. He is selective about the dogs he likes. He is still somewhat fearful in new situations. This poor guy, he has been through a lot in a very short about of time.

We believe Chief is approximately 2 years old and appears to be housebroken. Recently we introduced Chief to some cats. He let us know – cats would not be allowed in his home.
